Ruhr 2010

Središče nemške industrijske regije Ruhr, mesto Essen, je razglašeno za eno od treh evropskih kulturnih prestolnic leta 2010. Cerkev ob tej priložnosti, ki je potekala 9. januarja kljub slabemu vremenu, so se udeležili župan Essen, Reinhard Pass in predsednik vlade Severno Porenje-Vestfalija Jürgen Ruttgers. V prihodnjih dneh se bo madžarščina Pécs in turški Istanbul v letošnjem letu pridružila temu nemškemu mestu kot dve drugi kulturni prestolnici Evrope..
